Online Submissions

We accept poetry submissions for Lehigh Valley Poetry Online on a rolling basis.

Here is what you need to know:

*Send 1-3 poems in a document (word, google docs) to our google account:

lehighvalleypoetry@gmail.com

*Include a brief bio if you would like one. If you are listed in the LVP Poet Pages, we can link there. (If you are not listed, this is a “by request” situation so please ask if you would like a page and send the information that you prefer)

*You do not have to be a resident of the Lehigh Valley area to submit, although a connection is preferred in some way. Maybe you came to an event or a festival, or have friends here- all good.

*Please be clear on the name that you prefer for the credit, even if it seems obvious. It doesn’t matter what name you use, just include that with the poem and title. First names, gamer names, aliases- it does not matter as long as the work is your own and again- please be clear.

*Photos and images are fine, and you are welcome to ask questions about your ideas

*We do not “own” your work, you own your work. We are sharing your work. It is nice to see acknowledgement of the space, but you are not obligated to remember to do this. When you do mention that work has appeared here, it is appreciated.

*We do ask that you give specific permission if you would like your work to be considered for forthcoming anthologies or other projects. (see tabs above for information)

*We will spread the word on our Facebook page, so please “like” and follow Lehigh Valley Poetry on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Let’s keep in touch. #lehighvalleypoetry

*Being honest, simple formatting is best. Lines can look different in documents, email, on browsers, phones. There are so many variables and we have learned to ask that you just send your poetry in plain clothes.

*Feel free to follow up on correspondence. If something has fallen through the cracks, please reach out to E.Lynn Alexander. (elynnalexander@gmail.com)

*Who is this person? She wrote these paragraphs, and is but a humble volunteer. Link.
